Snowmageddon 2014

Snow at School.  Yahoo.
Not much snow!

WOW!  More snow.  Within 10 minutes it was accumulating on the playground

Catching snowflakes.

MORE SNOW!

WOW! This is the same playground at 4:00.  Students were still at the school along with many faculty members.  We ALL made it home at some point Tuesday night.  A first for this 20 year veteran teacher:)))  Thanks to the parents, teacher's husbands, family members and community people that helped get out students and staff to a home in some manner!!  YOU ROCK!  Thank goodness for 4 wheelers, 4 wheel drive jeeps and trucks.

I am updating my blog due to 2 snow days.  YEAH!!  My girls are making a snowman and playing.

100th Day Already!

We had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school on Jan 22.  Our students read 100 sight words, wrote what he/she would buy with 100 dollars, counted to 100 and ate a 100 day snack.  See below for the fun we had.

Reagan dressed for the 100th day.
She is also sporting her new glasses.
TOO CUTE!

The kids drew a picture of them now and at 100.  TOO CUTE!  They have wheelchairs, canes, spots on their faces, etc.

Thanks Little Warriors for the 100 day Freebie.

I decorated the Promethean board, Pete the Cat and our Black Lab.  The kids had a fit!

My bday.

I celebrated my 42nd birthday on January 12.  My kiddos are so sweet!  Several made the comment that we needed to ask Mr. D. if he would open the school so that we could celebrate.  Made me tear up that my little ones would come on their day off to celebrate with me.  However, we did celebrate on Friday with cupcakes.  Love my little ones!

An Elf Arrived

Our classroom had a visitor from the North Pole show up Friday.  Our elf was on Mrs. H. desk hiding inside a special elf.  We had a contest to name our new elf.  Each child was asked to draw a picture of the elf and write down a name.  The winning name was Max.  This coming week we will be keeping an elf journal of elf Max's adventures.
Update!
Snowflake showed up when Max got the flu.  Thanks for the Jingle pup, story and movie.  We LOVED hearing Jingle respond to the story!!
