My kids LOVE this song!!

Long time no Blog;)

I have been very busy since school started and finally have time to update my blog.  I have a few family updates and classroom updates from Halloween, Thanksgiving and more.  Hope you enjoy:)

An exciting beginning of the year!!

Working hard during center time.
We enjoy working with a partner to
finish our journal writing.

We love our "double checkers".

More partner writing.
Partner reading.  We love
 reading with
our microphones,

pointers and story cubes.

An exciting Fall at the Hightower's
AHS went to the play offs this year making it to round 3 and the band followed every game.  Congrats AHS.

Elizabeth at her first game:)
AHS band on the field.  Elizabeth is on the Color Guard this year.
She is on the flag line and "weapon line".  Has hopes of being
the captain next year:)))

Upward Flag Football for Ashley.

Halloween

Mrs. W. and I dressed like Pete the Cat.  I have on my
favorite color shoes-Purple Converse!!

Toby Pup dressed as a little Devil.  He started chewing up all of his toys so we thought this costume was fitting for him.  Reagan dressed as Saige.  She wants this doll for Christmas this year.  Our students dressed as their favorite story book character.  I decorated the Promethean board and Pete as a surprise to the kiddos:))
Thanksgiving.
The kids really LOVED dressing
like a turkey and Indian to practice
their sight words.  It was called
"Turkey Toss".  They threw a stuffed
turkey on a sight word and read it to
their partner while wearing a turkey hat or
Indian vest.  They had a BLAST!!

Happy Thanksgiving.  Hi! Mr. Duffey

More Turkey Tossing:)))

Love our Pete the Cats for Thanksgiving.
We are thankful for a lot of things!

Our new "Toy" for our classroom.  We got a Ladibug to go along with our Promethean board.  We love it!

Thanksgiving Break at the Hightower House.

SNOW BEFORE THANKSGIVING IN GEORGIA!  A first for me!!
Toby ate the snow.
We get excited over a little snow in the South;)))

We made a Fruit Turkey for our
family get together.  We had a blast.
Even Toby was enjoying it!
Our finished product!!
